This part-time model is far from a model mom.
A British woman murdered her two toddler daughters because they got in the way of her X-rated lifestyle — which included offering to sleep with men for cash, a court heard on Tuesday.
Louise Porton, 23, is accused of suffocating 3-year-old Lexi Draper in January 2018 and strangling 17-month-old Scarlett Vaughan 18 days later, as the girls had become a “burden,” prosecutors said in Birmingham Crown Court.
“At times, her two children got in the way of her doing what she wanted, when she wanted and with whom she wanted,” said prosecutor Oliver Saxby QC, according to The Sun.
In the weeks before the girls’ deaths, Porton exchanged messages with purported clients online, telling one how “they can have sex despite being in a shared room with both children present if they’re quiet,” Saxby said.
The part-time model messaged several men asking them to put money into a bank account in exchange for explicit photos or sex, the court heard.
Prosecutors described how paramedics found Lexi dead at home Jan. 15, days after she’d been discharged from a hospital with antibiotics for an apparent chest infection, the BBC reported.
While her toddler was in the hospital, Porton was allegedly busy sexting. The day after Lexi’s death, she accepted 41 friend requests from men on a dating app.
Then, in early February, Porton called paramedics saying she was driving Scarlett to the hospital but couldn’t wake her up.
“It was clear to the emergency services when they attended shortly afterwards that Scarlett had been dead for some time,” Saxby said.
When answering questions from the first responders, the young mom was “calm and emotionless,” Saxby said.
“The overwhelming inference is that Lexi and Scarlett died because someone deliberately interfered with their breathing,” Saxby said.
“That someone can only have been this defendant.”
Porton has pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder.
“My children were never an inconvenience to me and I accommodated my lifestyle and personal life around them,” she told the police.
