After a six-month long investigation, Brazilian police on Friday arrested 108 people during an anti-pedophile operation across the country.
The arrests were made in 24 different states, including the capital Brasilia. More than 150,000 files were previously analyzed for the operation according to Brazil’s Ministry of Justice. He also explained those detained were part of a ring that shared pornographic images of children through computers and mobile phones. Among those arrested were retired policemen, civil servants and people in charge of football youth clubs.
These raids are now considered as part of one of the largest police operations ever carried out against pedophilia in South America.
